CHA708 Sylford Walker -United / McPullish -Stronger in Dub 7" / download
Sylford Walker, the man who wrote and sang classic roots reggae songs such as Burn Babylon, Lambsbread, Jah Golden Pen, Deuteronomy, Eternal Day, My Father's Homeland, Chant Down Babylon and many others, is back in the studio, after taking a break for many years. He is now working with producer and songwriter McPullish to create a new sound, rooted in reggae traditions and pushing the music forward. United is the first fruit of this collaboration, recorded in 2009 and released on 7" vinyl and digital download in December of 2010. As the lyrics of the song suggest, Sylford Walker and McPullish are " stronger now than ever before ... cause we're United ..." Stronger in Dub is stripped to the bone and given a new lease on life via the live dub process by McPullish. Coming soon to a soundsystem near you ...

CHA709 Lutan Fyah -Ras Always / McPullish -Different Sequel Dub 7" / download
Lutan Fyah has been a steadily rising name in the reggae scene for years, garnering attention with his unique singing/chanting lyrical style and a plethora of big tunes for various producers and labels. Ras Always is his first collaboration with McPullish, using the Natty Riddim as a vehicle for his Rastafarian message. Different Sequel Dub is one of the heaviest dub mixes, so far, to emerge from Dub Cove Studio, and finds McPullish tweaking the instruments on a journey to outer space, aiming for the highest regions of the human brain.

CHA710 Mark Wonder -Explanation / Mark Wonder meets McPullish -Explanation (Acapella Dub Version)
7" / download
Mark Wonder started out wanting to be a horse jockey as a young man, but was eventually drawn instead to music and is now one of the best roots singers working in Jamaica, and worldwide. He is named "Wonder" after his biggest musical inspiration- Stevie Wonder. In his first collaboration with McPullish, Mark Wonder asks those in charge of world governments and big business for an "Explanation... for all you have done," and calls on his Rastafari bredren to "beat the kette drum" for "purification" and "healing of the land." The acapella dub version highlights his words and the kette drum, stripping the song down to bare basics. We look forward to hearing what DJs/ selectors and sounds do with this acapella dub version.
