Bass Culture Podcast

Greetings, music lovers...

Bass Culture was a radio program I did for a couple of years on a community radio station, described as "reggae and beyond" – heavy roots selections, serious soul and funk, dynamite Afrobeat and deep, dubwise vibes from all over the map. Inspired by the venerable BBC program On The Wire and other echo chamber influences, Bass Culture dug deep into the history of Jamaican music, gave listeners the hottest new 7" singles, and occasionally went into outer space with dub-inspired electronica as the soundtrack. Once I split from radio, I continued on as a podcaster and now Bass Culture is back.

So right now they can't check me with no lightweight stuff! Tune into Bass Culture at
