I want to get hold of this recording but I don't want to pay the £35. If anyone has this disc can they please let me know if it is worth it.

Also bubbling on my wants list:The Art Bears - World as it is Today
Friends of Dean Martinez - A Place in the Sun
Juju - Message from Mozambique
Pierre Akendengue - Awana w'Africa or Nandipo/Afrika Obota
Jim Lurie - Down by Law Soundtrack

On the radar:
Gilles Peterson in Africa (expected April 2005)

I have a CDr of it somewhere but would have to search for it. Its great music overall but a few tracks are literally a few seconds long. To get it and listen to it is not as brilliant as you would have expected it to be, but if you like the music from the movie then you will be satisfied. I will try and find it.

I have the lp of ghost dog.
The thing is that the music in the film is all instrumental and the tracks on the album are with raps.
For me it was kind of a bummer

I've got this edition too, which was the soundtrack as released on US & Europe. However, the japanese edition in question is a different album featuring the instrumental versions of the tracks as heard on the original movie.

Yes that is correct, I am talking about the Japanese edition, miles better than the US/European one
