Sound like reggae covers of South African melodies

Anyone know the originals?

Both tracks could be Cedric Brooks originals, or his take on two out of the way Jazz melodies. Sly & Robbie credit him as the writer of 'Rasta Reggae' (C Brooks / BMI) on their 'Mambo Taxi' collection.
