Aaah- its the same as the one at the beginning of that singers and players on-u album... Knew I knew it from somewhere. Is it from when the wailing souls were recording at studio one? Sadly I've only got their Channel 1/Island stuff

After Coxsone I think but definitely before Channel One it was released on Mafia Tone in Jamaica and Punch in the UK.
Where did you get the sample from?

One of about three CDs I recorded from friends' collections back in the UK. I would ask them, but this is quicker
