the "bacon fry" sound throughout the record is in fact a special mastering process developed by Studio One. Occassionally despite the empahsis on strict quality control from Studio One some tunes slip through the net and come out sounding unmastered. This results in a uncannily uncomfotable sensation where the tune makes no hiss cracks or skips. If you find one of these -its obviously a defect- consign it to the bin and look out for a true Studio One bacon fry original.
