It's a cool group, Steve Barrow is very active, posting almost every day and commenting on other people's posts. Lots of deep knowledge gets thrown around, much of it way over my head, so I just lurk around, but it's very interesting.

Hello moderator
There was a suggestion on the B&F Facebook page that this site, the B&F messageboard, might be unavailable, possibly closed down, later this year.

OK found it. That would be a sad day.
Gentlemen, start packing:

Steve Barrow I hear the site will be closed later this year...

Doug Armstrong Steve Barrow That's sad news though surprising it's stayed up so long! I still find the forum search function useful - guess all that information will be lost unless archived somehow...

Steve Barrow Yes I heard last week. They are winding up the publishing company too, of which I was a director until now...

Awful to think that everything written here would just vanish to be gone forever. Is there no way to archive the site, even if it is not active?

That's me discussing it with Steve...and yes, a real shame if all that info is lost, many times a forum search will come up with some tidbits of knowledge not found elsewhere...

Perhaps see if it can be included in the Wayback web archive? https://web.archive.org/

It will be a shame when this place shuts its doors for the last time. The end of an era. Before I had a pc at home - circa 2000 - I used to use an internet phone box - the height of technology at the time - and the Blood & Fire site was the first one I checked out

When we were advised some time ago that the website could close at any time, I found and used this free website copier. It saves an offline copy, on which the search function works!

Why ?

Because Facebook is Facebook?
I had thought there would be more awareness here.
