Fathers For Justice

There are plenty of tunes praising Mums but I can't think of many praising Dads except for Mr.Big Man by Junior Reid and Barry Brown mentions his father in Thank You Mama. I can think of a few tunes about bad Dads such as One Foot Jo Jo by Barrington Levy and Daddy by Sister Ifrica but can you think of any that big up us Dads?

It's noticeable that most references to "the Father" in reggae are about God and most references to "Dad" are about being some Don Dadda gangster overlord.

That's because real Dads often aren't at home! Not always a bad thing if they're not very good at being Dads.

yeh unfortunately most tunes about fathers are generally about them not being there or being abusive
