Vinyl Storage Tech Question

Postby Peacemakeya » Mon Aug 21, 2017 7:49 am

Does any1 know if it's ok to store vinyl in a dry, but seasonably sub-zero temperature storage place? How about old cassettes and reel to reel too?

Peacemakeya, for about 5 years I had a few hundred records stored outside on an apartment balcony because they didn't fit inside the apartment.
They were simply well-covered by a tarpaulin, and would have seen temperatures between - 40C and + 35 over this time span.
All are absolutely perfect.
But I don't know about magnetic tape, as they require more stable climes.
