it's a dub version of Alton Ellis - rise and fall

And also earl sixteen and the heptones. world has just begun.

And the second track is a dub version of earl sixteen - make up your mind.

I don't think there is any connection with dennis brown though I might be wrong. those are all jammy riddims.

Being a big fan of Hammer horror movies myself, I would like to know how they came up with the title for this track! :D

probably some notorious murder case where someone got butchered with a hammer in appartment 49...

The auralux repress has a 12 page booklet. perhaps it's mentioned in there ?

Someone should do a compilation set of all those Earl Morgan produced tracks from the late 70s/early 80s..

Very consistent quality tracks that are spread out over an array of singles and LPs.. Some others are for example the heptones - get up and chant, alton ellis - the humble will stumble

Not positive, but I think there might be a DEB connection to some of these riddims. At least a few appear on this B+F release...

Agree about the need for an Earl Morgan comp, his late 70s productions are tuff!

Apartment 48 is also a dub to Earl Sixteen's "Some gone"

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dHEgK1yC-N4

and that again is indeed connected to the Heptones
