R.I.P.

One of the most important figures in the history of Jamaican music, a true legend. He may be gone, but through music he will live on and be a "hard man fe ded".

Good to be wize when you're young
cuz you can only be young but for once
enjoy yourself and have lots of fun
Serve God and live my friend
and it will ever be done
enjoy yourself
it's later than you think
enjoy yourself when you're still in the pink
the years go by as quickly as you blink

repeat chorus

get wisdom and get knowledge and understanding
those 3 were given to me by the Maker
Go to school - learn the rules
Don't be no faker
It's not wize for you to be foot-stool

repeat chorus

Interesting that all three major Jamaican news sites (Gleaner, Star, Observer) have small - almost pathetic - coverage of Buster's passing, while UK newspapers have provided more insightful articles and obituaries.

That's how it often goes, Mick, the prophet is unnoticed in his own home land. Though I would sure think they would be giving his passing more coverage than that.

Indeed, JB. Rolling Stone published an excellent article about the Prince that is a great read.
