A nice dub album if you know you're effectively getting a Knowledge release. I suppose if you were expecting Umkhonto We Sizwe vol. 2 or only early 1980's dubs it would be a disappointment though.

A reggae album that doesn't do exactly what it says on the tin then... how queer!!

How many times could Roy Cousins release essentially the same 20 riddims remixed slightly?

I started ignoring these release many moons ago after realizing they were all basically the same tracks

A few more than 20 ;) but you're right, they make for a frustrating purchase if not forewarned. It's all for the distraction of the aural jigsaw puzzle (tracking rhythms, etc). I feel no shame in downloading reference copies of the vinyl or alt CD releases though, I must have bought them all at least once by now :D

Keeps me distracted anyhow!

It's certainly a labour of love & obviously has taken some time to research. Much appreciated Bee, a much needed resource.

cheers

Exactly. All you get from Roy is rehash after rehash.

Greetings BeePie2,
Great 'detective' work on these Roy Cousins riddim directories!

According to the earliest release i could find
track 03 - The Roots Radics Band feat. Prince Far I - Tenastelin!
isn't by the Radics but by Sly & Robbie (probably as The Force Of Music)
see https://www.discogs.com/release/4172125

peace,
dj
