Because of licensing issues you won't be able to use iPlayer outside the UK but it will probably make an appearance on Youtube sooner or later.

It's actually very easy to use iPlayer outside of the UK. You just add an extension like Hola to your browser which disguises your IP address. You get Hola to give you a UK IP address and then you can watch what you like. Obviously I'd never do this myself as it may contravene some rules and I certainly never did it to watch the latest episodes of Sherlock way ahead of Canadian release. That being said I am assured by less scrupulous characters that it can easily be done. 8)
