Triston Palmer — Mr. False Preacher (dub?)

Postby kalcidis » Wed Mar 26, 2014 2:45 pm

Is there a dub to this fantastic slice of Junjo produced roots? Hoping for an alternative issue (to the Greensleeves 12") that has a dub. Preferably easily found and cheap as well. ;)

Kalcidis

Did you ever locate the dub or even better the JA 7" with version ?
Been on the look out for this for years but never seen or heard of it hence reviving an old thread.
Anyone ?

Hey Marvin. Never heard of a JA version on 7". Is it Volcano? It's such a great disco.

Thanks for the swift response.

I presume it would be a Volcano 7". As much as I like the Greensleeves 12" I've always hankered after the straight vocal and version as I'm not really a DJ fan.

The vocal with the "monumental dub version" only seems to be on dubplate. Never understood why 12"s were released with great vocals & rhythms but with a mediocre DJ piece and NO DUB! Who is Nica Smart anyway?

I don't think Nica Smart does a mediocre job. I would still prefer a dub but as far as a deejay version goes it gets thumbs up from me. Nica is one of those deejays Junjo seemed to push for during a period but (I assume) he felt never did sting enough so they didn't get too much recording done. I only know of this 12" and his tune on the Whole New Generation of DJ (a fascinating set that one).

Nice one guys appreciate the info. As per usual I'll follow up on the Dubplate info in a analogue fashion. If anything comes to light I'll pm ya's.
