from memory it's going to be a longbox multi cd box set including some artists that Yabby produced.

The title should be "Reggae Beach Party".
On the sleeve a nice lion perhaps, wearing a rastafari cap.

any links to this yabby you compilation? one problem is that historically shanachie didn't have a very high standard of sound quality. that's a gentle way of saying they sucked in the sonic department. so I hope this is better if and when it arrives. don't recall the last time I heard the term "longbox"...but I think it was back in the 90s when shanachie was more active.

as for B&F oh man would I love some kind of Bim Sherman material...

one love

Shanachie released an excellent long box multi cd box set by Augustus Pablo in 2008.

Alex from Peacemaker should be able to fill you in, or you can do a search on the various Reggae forums, it's all there with updates.

Found this on the Yabby you:

Would love to see a Canadian Roots Compilation. ie, King Culture Stylee.

So many wicked tunes that pop up now and then that I really enjoy.

Wish I have the time and money to head east this summer to dig in T.O and Montreal. :P

How about a compilation of some of Bob Andy's more rootsy material.
