Among the flock of so-called ‘Shaka tunes’ these days, only a few were actually played by the legendary London-based Jah
Shaka sound system. This heavy 12’’ from 1983 was one of them. Slow, melancholic, backed by a fantastic female chorus, it was the only song ever put out by artist Norris Regal, who completely disappeared from the music business following this ethereal, debut tour de force.
Where did Norris go? As per usual, it took a few detective-style tactics to track him down, but it all worked out in the end. This time, the miracle link came by way of the… Anglo Caribbean Domino League! (click: http://www.reelheavy.wordpress.com

Now 54 years old, the singer behing this tough roots 12’’ had become an electrical engeneer in Rugby, UK since Struggle had come and gone --and was certinaly not waiting to ever hear of his musical career ever again.
With Norris’ master tapes absolutely intact --they sported two unreleased cuts to Struggle!-- it didn’t take a lot of convincing for this majestic record to ride again…
