What a enjoyable read.
As always some artists familiar with ,some not.
I love reading & watching documentaries about jazz, very selective with my personal favs.
John Coltrane : A Love Supreme & Live At Birdland.
Miles Davis interpretation of Gershwins Porgy & Bess.
Lately i enjoy listening to hip hop with jazz samples, it gives a new life to jazz records.
If any one is coming from reggae & new to this music don't forget to check out the whole Jamaican Jazz scene from the likes of Ernest Ranglin to Monty Alexander [his intros to Marley classics are wonderful].
I was watching a documentary about Sun Ra, yes kinda far out, if i listen to him i must wear a tin foil hat from now on
Yes jazz satisfies my soul just like reggae, it can be heavy & deep or light as a feather.
