I Think these are two different Jah B`s

The one from your album is/ was a candadian singer if im right.
Mine is a jamaica, wich used to live in germany couple of years.

The Jah B on Live Up was indeed a Canadian artist. He worked together with Ras Alpha who released a brilliant 12" on some Canadian label (name and label escapes me at the moment -- am I turning senile, it happens more often that I'm comfortable with). That album is such a missed opportunity. Heavy rhythms with nice dubs and absolute crap vocals.

Must disagree with you here Kalcidis, I truly dig that LP
He doesn't own a powerful voice indeed but I do like his outings on this album!

I had to go and listen to it again to see if I my memory of it perhaps was too harsh. Let's just say we'll keep disagreeing on his vocals

I can live with that and will linger to rely on your judgements! 8)

i tend to agree with kalcidis...so linger on mine as well!

the vocals just seemed uninspired and uncreative, particulary when listening to the album as a whole. but certainly a keeper, still.
