Can a visitor still enjoy a tree in Amsterdam these days?

Postby johnnyB » Tue Apr 16, 2013 4:59 am

What about the law banning tourists from coffee shops? Is it really active? I'll be there for the first time in mid May and I would like to experience a little relaxation when my girlfriend's schedule will allow it.
Any tip reggaewise or otherwise from the dutch members would be appreciated.
Have a nice day!

No worries, no problem at all for tourists to enter coffeeshops.
the so called 'weedpass' was not approved in Amsterdam.

as for closing the shops; it's true that the government want's to reduce te amount of shops in the city,
especially the ones in the red light district, but closing all shops in july.. nonsense

enjoy your stay, bless

Thanks for the news. Not a fanatic of the weed tourism but knowing there's still a spot of civilization in Europe is comforting.

No prob to get weed ina Amsterdam in the shops. Weedpass only valid in south of NL.
Nonsense that all shops close. They want to reduce the amount of shops within a radius of 500meter from schools and such.
In the red light district they're reducing the amount of hookers.
