Thanx for posting the link Ryan ... Already had giant respect for Steve & his contribution in forwarding the Golden Age of Reggae ... The interview taught me nuff I did not previously know & my respect for the brother grows accordingly.

An interesting look into BAF's magnitude of promotion - according to the interview they'd sent out 100,000 promo cds of the last BAF release..... imagine the $$ that would take for the physical copies, mail costs, outside PR services etc? Can anyone imagine any other label doing that for a reggae release in the last 20 yrs?

I think he's referring to promotional CD's from their whole catalogue. Still. It's very impressing.

if you keep in mind that most lp releases now are limited to 500 or 1000 copies

the 90ies were a different time....
