Music House do everlasting acetate, those Mafia and Fluxy plates hat regularly crop up on eBay sold by them are all pressed this way.

They're based in Tottenham right?

Dunno whether Jah Tubbys let people cut in studio, but I'm sure the quality is good as the pre-amps I've used are amazing build quality, as are the SSE sirens I've used too.

If you're interested in getting single vinyls pressed then check A.P.S Audio for supreme quality.

Used music house for over 20 years now run by Paul's son Leon on a trading estate near Tottenham best to call before making the journey as not always open ever reliable the only other place I've cut dubs is arrows studio on windward road in Kingston. Good quality comes as standard at both places. Looked into cutting dubs onto vinyl due to its longevity etc but put off by Leon's opinion and decided to stick to what I know works.

Have tried to call jah tubbys but never been able to speak to them or get a reply by email

Ed's Vinyl in Brixton Jamm is pretty good, £20 for a 12" with up to 6 tracks on each side. Really nice bloke and you can watch it being cut if you like whilst he talks you through what hes doing. www.edsvinyl.com

As far as I know, Jah Tubbys isn't cutting dubs anymore. Surprised to hear you could't get through. I use the studio number about twice a week and get through just about every time. As for e-mails.. I think he gets a good few, I always prefer to make a link over the phone.

Good to know the craft is still practiced all over.

+1 for music house. Leon is a top man and happy to let you be involved. Re Tubbys, last time I spoke to Keith about plates the lathe was out of action as he was moving the studio around but to be honest I got the vibe he wasn't that interested in cutting anymore. Have yet to cut straight to vinyl, but cutting fresh dubs next week (serious business!) so be interested in any recommendations

Anyone used Ed's Vinyl lately? Website suggests they've moved to Brighton and are now only doing one track per side, no matter what size disk.

Cheapest place online I can see now (vinyl, not acetate) is http://carverycuts.com/home/shop/10-vinyl-dubplate/

Anyone seen cheaper?
