Thanks for the heads-up SLS; love this stuff. Camelwalk is one of the all time boogaloo killers.

I don't; you probably know these already but try www.afrocubansounds.com or www. descarga.com. 'El Galleton' is worth any amount of money.

thanks mate. they have the one with el galethon for 175 euros. I'm not sure how many pounds that is, but I think too many. I have the song on the first Luv & Haight compilation, which is now collectable itself, so I'll wait till I see a reissue. I saw a reissue about five years ago for £15 in soul Jazz and thought I'd pick it up another time- never saw it again. Same thing happened the other month with Prince Buster's The Message LP. Get em when you see em, my new motto.

Fopp definately weren't giving Glen Brown Rhythm Master Vol 1 away--£15 that set me back! Yes, I know I said earlier I wasn't going to get this but I spent the weekend in Bristol and, being let off the leash, was feeling a bit reckless so took a punt. Still, two volumes of Blue Note Thelonious for a £5 each and Propellerheads' Decksanddrumsandrockandroll for a tenner--not bad.

Went crate digging with my Bristol buddy Nick (Gutterbreaks) later on Gloucester Road and found Rhythm Master for £11.99. Damn.

thanks for the tip, Steve (I don't mind a bit of Latin / Salsa myself)

If I can, I'll look in on my way to the Blue Beat re-launch tonight (I notice Fopp doesn't close till 10pm)

Mind you, the last time I was in that branch of Fopp (just before Christmas) I found the selections (read: bargains) a bit weaker than it had been...especially the JA stuff :?
If it don't turn you on, you oughtta leave it alone!!
