great tune indeed but got repressed some years back
im glad the iron foenix gets repressed now
it was on one of my posts i did where i mentioned to shout out for the tunes you want to see repressed... perhaps that topic influenced its repress lol
http://www.bloodandfire.co.uk/db/viewto ... light=iron
lets hope the rest will follow

a repress of the jamaican girl would be nice too on a 7"
i remember that 12 with both vocals on A-side and both versions on the B side

why would someone do that? isnt it more logic to keep a vocal with its version than to mix 2 diffent tunes?

didn´t that came on a New York Aires 12 inch ?

And virgin is not a rare label... a multi-million dollar company. Usually those records were mass produced and sold in various countries.
There´s a nice article about virgin in the the latest edition of Reggae Vibes magazine :)

edgar, obviously i was being sarcastic about the virgin label being super rare....lowest form of humour i know. Still, people overlook that cancer lp and im often surprised by how many people do not know it. Which track come on an airies 12"? thr freddie mckay? i was under the impression is was dubplate only but i would love to be wrong.
just noticed rocktone's oh jah man ( aka promised land on mafiatone label) been reissued by observer, another tuff roots piece.

which one edgar? none of those lp tracks actually have iroy over them - you mean the horns cut to "we want it" or "bubbling jug"? either way i've never seen an observer rhythm on aires yet!...always a first time.. ha ha no need to tell us brits bout the virgin label either, teaching grannys to suck eggs springs to mind :P

Could you please link us Tommy McCook intrumental piece? For my self, I just heard it only from early 90's recordings of Aba session, so excited to listen it just straight from YT link or smth. Thank you!
