Picked up that Admiral Tibett LP lately myself BMC, also his War In A Babylon set on Ras. Still rate Leave People Business on Techniques above both of them, but nice to have, I'm really feeling that late 80's/early 90's era of reggae lately. Had a few finds in a local record shop recently:

Morwell Esquire - In God We Trust 12" (Black Lion)
Junior Delgado - Effort (DEB)
Marcia Griffiths - Steppin' (High Note)
Gregory Isaacs Meets Ronnie Davis (Plant)
Revolutionaries - Revolutionary Sounds (Well Charge) - vinyl in mint-ish condition with great sound, but the previous owner cut a circle size hole right in the middle of the jacket, to show off the label I suppose...so Che has a big hole in his face! Nice find just the same.

Plus last weekend I bought the last part of a partial former sound system collection that I've been chipping away at in bulk installments. Strictly 7" this time, list soon come...

No doubt! Amazing how just a couple of year period in Jamaican music can produce so much music! This era doesn't seem to be too well known or represented on album so there must be countless gems on singles only. Will keep an eye out for that Reality Time LP.

As mentioned, I've been doing some bulk buys of some old reggae records and got around to the 7's this last time. Pretty unusual to see this much reggae vinyl in my area, and especially on 7". Many of these are from a sound that operated locally back in the day and a real mixed bag of stuff from 60's to the 90's and across various styles, lots of fillers and plenty of tunes unknown to me but some goodies too. Unfortunately missed out on a few nice pieces that got cherrypicked before I got there (some old white labels etc.) but still pretty pleased to own some of these. Picked up around 140 7's in total, this is most of the reggae except for some 90's ragga type tunes, plus there was some nice northern soul & funk, and some just plain oddities like a couple of JA pressed Tamla Motown singles from '73 (almost mint), and Jamaican pressings of Skylark's AM radio pop hit Wild Flower and Rock Me Amadeus by Falco (with sound markings  ). Most of these, even the older ones, are in excellent shape, at worst maybe some light scratches and then the Jazzbo has a small chip on the run in groove. I don't have much original 7" in my collection, mostly 90's - 2000's stuff plus a few represses of older tunes, so this was a nice jump start to get collecting the older singles:

Screw Driver - We Rule (Dennis Star)
Pliers - Back & Belly Rat (Dennis Star)
General Trees - When Mi Fi Come (Dennis Star)

i'm sure some of these norman grant productions are a bit easier to find over yonder, but here in the states it's a treat, especially for under a tenner!

at least here in my country you see twinkle brothers LPs quite a lot if you look at the right places .. very rarely anything on 7 or 12 inch from them..
thank you putting this on here- best reggae track ever, apart from most bob marley tracks

yes, same way here edgar. and if you do get lucky enough to find a nice 12" disco, it's usually a lot more than $10...so, well pleased with this purchase. it was listed as EX+ which made my eyes roll, but the platter is well clean!

That's a very nice haul right there, Doug! I've been lucky in the past as well of getting offered similar styled selections for good prices too (mostly 80s stuff). Was a great way to kick of a collection in that style.

Thanks Marc, yes after many years not finding too much reggae in my area (and still very unusual to see much on 7") it is kind of exciting to start digging deeper and turning up some interesting hauls. Check a page or two back for the LP's and 12" from the same collection if you haven't yet, some nice stuff there too if I say so myself

Found a sealed copy of Jr. Delgado - Bushmaster Revolution (Incredible Jux) in a 2nd hand record store in Cambridge, Boston the other day for 8 $.
Two sealed copies still there, so anyone who lives nearby - go for it :) .
Also got Chuck Turner - South Africa (Crat 12") for 5 bucks there, yay!

There must have been a lot of leftover stock of the Bushmaster Revolution album. I got a sealed copy off of Ebay a year or so ago and see them pop up still from time to time.
