New Gussie P 10"

Postby Reggaemusicstore » Sun Dec 05, 2004 11:51 am

Anyone else heard Gussie P's latest 10"? "Cup Of Peace" by Junior Delgado on a nice reworking of Bim Sherman's "Slummy Ghetto" riddim. Jux sounds more restrained than usual but a nice tune still. The B side "Round Four" has to be one of the most manic basslines I've ever heard. Only heard it a couple of time & not having a record player at home I can't work out whether it's a remix of "Fi Mi Horns" by Matic Horns, if it isn't then the B line is very close to that one, but it's certainly one of the most brutal UK steppers I've heard this year, bassline sounding somewhere inbetween Shaka & Iration Steppas. Totally uncompromising dub.....

Yes heard sound samples on Selectors Choice & it sounds like a quality release. The B side indeed sounds familiar so it may appeared on recent 10" in a differnt cut. Love the Michael Prophet 10"s on Sip A Cup - heavy heavy riddims & top vocal performance.

I find clips on S-Choice
a-side sounds strange,
b-side wicked fast instrumental steppa with killer bass

Choco, it's here:
