Beenie on 85 riddim?

Postby Living Bate » Thu Aug 17, 2006 9:53 pm

Talking to my boy the other day, he said he heard Beenie Man on Rodigan roasting the 85 Riddim in a Baby Cham manner....does anyone know what this track is?

I'd stream the Kiss show but my kak dial up keeps cutting out

Beenie Man 'We set the trend' John John Nukie (Eighty five) (?)

different production (some would say different riddim altogether) to the Cham though

I thought that version of the rhythm was kind of week..it doesn't come close to the bite of the original 85. Now if some one gets an acapella of the Beenie Man and sticks it on the original rhythm I'll be interested!

That's true, but this Beenie is a big tune regardless imo! Good example of how a good lyrical delivery can nice up a riddim.

when Beenie says 'Rodigan fly down and sunrise turn events' I take it he is not talking about David??

who is it?

Well, if Rodigan plays the tune on his show and the lyrics menton "Rodigan" it would seem rather likely that Beenie talks about our man David, wouldn't it? Haven't heard the tune myself tho...

Maybe Rodigan has a Beenie special over the original 85 riddim?
