Are these covers not possible to reproduce for CD releases?

Of course, but it's not the same thing in smaller size. And they don't have that excitement factor as those real albums do. It's nice to have the music in any format, even mp3, but they're just substitutes of the real thing. Many of those albums are available as LP replicas without unnecessary and usually inferior bonus tracks. That's almost having the original and many of those new LP prints are even good quality and without wear of the original pieces.
