saw him in soul jazz the otherday - tipped him to a copy of that count matchukie thing ['movements'], when he came in and asked for one boom tune to walk out with...

he's doing something down the barbican mid february on the back of that 'impressions' [uk jazz scene comp] that he had out. man, i loved that selection [especially vol. 1]

dissapointing.........lots of previously released tracks available from other comps (trojan?) not very imaginitive. some unkowns there so it has hope as long as those tracks are the bomb.

great collection of afro music anyway, im sure it will introduce many to the wonderfull afro-beat sound.

Yup..got to agree Will...the set put together by ex-Strut boss on UnionSquare called AfroBeat sessions makes this look pale by comparison
