Courtney Melody - Screechy Across THe Border , Stereo One 12" is another rare one. I remember seeing this selling for 400USD at auction 4-5 years back. Still one of the greatest digital tunes.

Surely that has to be the Twilight Circus 'UK Steppers' 12 from +- 1997 'produced' by yours truly?

One of the cuts here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TlzFZkWBhSE

Sounds like you got one without the original sleeve (which had glued on printed info).

The original discs were bubblegum pink (which tied into the sleeve art image of a cartoon character chomping on the disc) & later pressings red after the original factory went bust and no one would do solid pink.. It was meant to be as if the record were made of bubblegum.

The early discs had home handicraft labels with paint/sparkle glue etc - later versions had a stamp of a palm tree on one side & I think a star on the other.

I used to sit there in my one room bedsit at the time decorating those things up...hours of fun.

Those 2 main dubs were concocted, recorded and mixed really fast - in an afternoon as I recall...

That is one of the advantages of a simple, spartan set up which I had in those days - fewer choices and distractions; faster pace of working..

Big Respect Chocolate Soldier, that clears up a mystery. Def one of my most dangerous uk records.

If you still have any copies lurking about, give me a shout. I know people love to get their hands on that one.

Bless

really? courtney melody was the singer of that song? did little kirk also do it? ive got a recent reissue of him (supposedly) doing this tune.

just recently i came across this in my 12"s:

bingi bunny/lee vancliff: train to zion/dj style/georgie porgie (number 1 12")

one heavy record there, dont know how "rare" it is.

horn dub to sam bramwell "it ago dread in a babylon" - germaine 12"
