not sure but i think this is on liberation (probably what you mean by "not album version"?), but as i recall it doesnt hold up to the version released on the 7" youre talking about...completely different recording from what i can tell.

i never understood what this obsession with extended versions on 12" was all about.

i think i need a copy of that 12", never seen it.

i got this

bunny wailer: riding/version (solomonic 12")

but rise and shine is a far superior song, at least as it appears on:

bunny wailer: riding/rise and shine (7") (solomonic)

however i think the song as it appears on

bunny wailer: unity/rise and shine (7") (solomonic)

must be the one off liberation and not as good...

too bad bunny doesnt do it like this anymore, he really had it goin' on there for awhile.
