So, it looks that full sung version doesn't exist and Clint Eastwóood is singing the chorus himself. Ruffneck and Ringo were right.

C.Hylton could be the same person as Eek-A-Mouse's brother Clive Hylton who recorded "Judgement Day" in Black Ark and famous dubplate for Lloydie Coxsone - "From Creation".

Could be. There's also a Carl Hylton listed in RKR.

I don't know of a cut of that name, nor of anything on Drifter by Earl 16 or Tony Tuff. I also think I know all the cuts on the original rhythm. Sure it's Drifter?

Yes I have this, it's Earl 16, it's called "Big Bout Yah" and it's on a 12". Wicked tune and indeed on the Drifter riddim (not the original cut by Mudies). You can hear it on the famous Barry G v Rodigan clash from 1983. Can't remember the label (maybe Bun-Gem?) or what's on the other side. It's a very low-key tune, probably wouldn't make any impact in the dance but a forgotten gem indeed.

Don't think I saw this one mentioned, but there is a Bunny Maloney track I've Been a Loser from the Always On My Mind lp. Not sure if there was a 12" or 7" of it.

The Michael Palmer track Don't Run Down Woman from the Waterhouse Revisited comp has been getting a lot of play lately.

Big tune, massive cut of the riddim, Bunny Lee style. Also known as "Can't Take The Fuss" on the Greensleeves 12.
