Gladstone Anderson - Rocking The Drifter

Especially on 7" - it's a different cut to that Book Of Drifters album.

On the same Pot of Gold cut as Richie Stephens - Don't Burn Your Bridges:

Bounty Killer - Petty Thief
Tony Rebel - Highly High
Wayne Marshall - Perilous Time
DYCR - Sucker
Nitty Kutchie - Drifter
Mama Carmen - Singing For The World

IMO the Richie Stephens tune is one of the weakest takes on this cut of Drifter, after Mama Carmen's (though you can't begrudge Richie giving his mama some studio time).

There's a 10" out there with Papa Tullo in combination with Johnny Osbourne on Rock And Come On Ya - absolute murder.

I'll post my list when I get home, I think there are now just over 100 cuts on it. Haven't counted in a long while, but I've probably managed to get about half of them on vinyl so far.

I picked up a Jammys one-rhythm comp of Driter a couple of weeks back. It's a slightly different version of the rhythm that he used on Johnny Osbourne's 'Rock And Come In', but there's still a few good cuts on there. In particular the Big Youth and Dennis Walks' update of the original drifter:

Reggae Explosion Vol. 1 (Super Power) 1989
1. Big Youth - Boom Work
2. Chaka Demus - Set It
3. Johnny P - You Have To Make It
4. Toughest - Dedicated To All Lovers
5. Derrick Irie - Perilous Times
6. Dennis Walks - Still Drifting
7. Jimmy Riley - Give Love A Chance
8. Philip Fraser - I'm Holding On
9. Thriller U - My Love Is Not A Gamble
10. Bunny General - Nah Let Go
