With a line or box or summat? I don't like the 'all in one' look

Seconded. Overall, I feel the boards is visually confusing. There's too much distracting stuff.

The problem is that everything else (buttons, smileys etc.) is a lot more eye-catching than posters' names and posts themselves. I'd like if the message view was more like that 'topic review' you get when posting.

But the Trojan site is better organised.
They have big green lines that seperate the posts.

Hi folks,

Thanks for all your contributions,,, I am paying attention to what youre saying,, there are exciting plans in the pipeline that will probably address the issues you raise... :)

It aint over yet,,, its only just begun!

But again, please be patient,, I only do this part time,, I have a very full time job to contend with too ...

Cheers

IMO it'd be easier to see if the board was dark text on a light backround rather than vice versa (or if there was an option for viewing it that way... i think you can get "style options" on vbulletin)...

Some boards have alternating background colours for each reply eg. a slightly lighter and darker blue or grey on alternate posts... another option is having solid lines between them as Trojan has, although i think that the alternating colour option is prettier (maybe we could have red, gold and green? )

hey, just noticed that in the "topic review" box that i can see now there actually are separation lines... maybe it should just look like that...

wow, great ! :)

the user interface of this board is getting better every day !

The only thing i REALLY miss from the old board is getting thread replies by mail & not only the notifications - that feature was a real time saver

cheers steve !
