Purchase Recommendation - Whats on your radar?

Postby bedward » Wed Jan 19, 2005 12:49 pm

I need a simple recommendation of an LP (vinyl or CD) for my budgeted February purchase. I was thinking:

Rosa Passos - Amorosa
Various - Gilles Peterson in Africa
Baby Huey - The Living Legend
Don Byron - Ivy Divey
Troubleman - Time out of Mind
Various - Dread meets the BBoys Uptown
Burnign Spear - Heartbeat vinyl of Creation rebel

What else should be on my radar?
dial africa ben, dial africa

Nuggets - Come to the Sunshine (Rhino) - as above...

After hours v.3 (Warner) - Great Northern Soul

From Burbank to the Bay Area (Warner) - 70's Funk, barriofunk and soul tunes from the Bay Area

Terry Melcher - Terry Melcher (Collectors Choice) - re-issue of debut album

Star Trek - The Vulcans (Trojan)

Real Cool - Tommy mcCook - (Trojan)

On my radar in the past few weeks:

Aquarius Rock (Pressure Sounds)
Wailing Souls At Channel One (Pressure Sounds)
Keep That Love Light Shining - Slim Smith (Trojan)
Top Ska Tunes (Trojan)
Creation Rebel - Burning Spear (Heartbeat)
Reggae Bible: Book Of Drifters (Moodisc)

They all make me swing for extra days and nice nice nice.

The coming Tommy McCook on Trojan is actually the only CD I can think of that I'm going to get for sure.
