i like it. i don't think the cover is purple, it is a cut up collage of world banks with scratch standing like a giant over them, with another little him riding a lion. the music is good on u sound productions, perry does some nice crazy lyrics and song interludes.... with "music and science lovers" being the best track but several others v good too.

I noticed his latest album has snuck in under the radar screen.

Mark la Mar's probably right but I'm not sure if that's saying much though....it's reasonable if the digitised roots sound flims yer flam

The cover has Scratch surrounded by industrial mayhem:

It's a very good album, imo, due to the strong rhythms/musicianship and Scratch being in top form.

Can't say where it ranks among his post-Black Ark discography since I don't have (nor intend to) so much of his later stuff, but it's the best of those I've heard. "From The Secret Laboratory" has some very good moments as well and his first album with Mad Professor ("Mystic Warrior") is quite good too.

I agree with Mark La Merde. It is Perry's best post-Ark production because the rhythm tracks suit his loony delivery. Music & Science Lovers is a great track. Listen with an open mind and I think it really grows on you.

I think it's a masterpiece. The best Scratch solo album bar none. Even greater than "From the secret Laboratory". These two On-U productions are aging very well given that they are effects and technology heavy. Timeless music IMO.

I agree with the majority of the comments here. Time Boom is my favourite post Black Ark album, bar none. Mind you, to appreciate the album you should really have a feel for the On-U Sound.

Now for a true example of ****...pick up Techno Party.

I think the label, rather than the cover, is purple.

Dunno where I got the purple bit from John, I usualy have a somewhat photographic memory for LP and the like but yes, maybe it is the label.
