Dubwize Sound - The best in NZ IMO
Cornerstone Roots - Earthy roots
Katchafire - Marley/Steel Pulse influenced reggae

i have to mention these since i was involved with producing and issuing the first and compiling the second :)

a better compiler than marketer, i guess giab!! that said you should definitley check it, i think its a fine snap-shot of the uniquely aotearoa take on roots reggae. we tried hard to get the most appropriate tracks for the acts we wanted, and largely suceeded imho. multiple copies at real groovy for $29.95!!

I know most of those songs, I especially like the Barnaby track Money
if you ever get around to compiling a NZ Digital Roots cd, I absolutely demand to have one of my tunes on it

..and that was how, thanks to the wonders of international time-zones, talk of the nz reggae scene came to to dominate the b&f board one sunny january afternoon.
