when its 'John go Deh' by Future Troubles on the 'Put your hands where my eyes can See' riddim on Shocking Vibes from 96ish

its currently advertised in Dub Vendor as a revive 45 !

surely a tune should have a shelf life of more than 10 years before it becomes a revive tune ???

ps : by coincidence i dropped this very set last week in a dance, most peeps thought it was brand new !

I always consider Revives to be anything older than the 'Sleng Teng' rhythm (1985?) that first made bass-lines redundant, and that I possess only as a kind of House of Horrors exhibit. (So showing my age again)

But a less personal guide might be Ernie B's? I think he uses 1990 as the cut-off point.

Agreed - Dub Vendor's site is a bit "flashy" and they don't have much of a list really, only the latest stuff and even then they don't list everything.

I'm looking forward to when they decide that last year's tunes are revive! :D
