takes his name from a Remarc tune from the 90s. planet mu has two comps of his stuff. well wikkid. you can hear samples at their site:

riiiiight!

Here is the review I did of Soundmurderer's album. I cant recommend it enough - the Remarc reissues on Planet Mu are pretty decent as well...

Shitmat's "Killa Babylon Kutz" album is very good, though a bit noisier and more experimental than pure ragga jungle. It even has a rude jungle version of that Ace of Bass song, that's always on Best of Reggae tv compilations in summer.

Dunno what precisely consists as ragga jungle (always a bit vague on genres of electronic music) but here's a few of my favourites that might possibly link to that term:

Shy FX/UK Apache - Original Nuttah
Echo Minott - Murder Weapon
Remarc & Levi - Ricky
Ibiza - Warning Remix
Ganja Kru - Super Sharp Shooter
Renegade - Terrorist
Asian Dub Foundation/MC Navigator - Culture Move
Tribe Of Issachar - Tribal Natty (remix of Barrington Levy's "Here I Come")
Congo Natty - Code Red
Wisdom & Knowledge - Ring Da Alarm Quick (remix of Tenor Saw's "Ring The Alarm")
Fugees - Here I Come (DJ Zinc remix)
Buju Banton - Champion (Miami remix)
Congo Natty - Junglist
Congo Natty - Exodus
Congo Natty - Ghetto Life
Black Star/Top Cat - Champion DJ Remix
Michael Prophet - Gunman (Junglist Ricochet)

most of these being tunes i downloaded (serious lack of jungle on CD) the titles or artist names may be inaccurate... but they're all wicked tunes...

Is the second Shitmat LP good as well? Here is what I thought of the first LP http://www.reggae-reviews.com/shitmat.html
