Postby BMC » Fri Jan 14, 2005 10:25 am

Ernie B has these in stock. What are these tunes like? Sound-quality? Pressing?

Johnny Osbourne - If Jah Didn't Love You Rockers Forever 1983
Jr. Reid - Poorman Transportation Rockers Forever 1983
Michael Palmer - Na Plan No Robbery Rockers Forever 1983
Phillip Frazer - Reggae Explosion Rockers Forever 1983
Sluggy Ranks - No Money Na Run Rockers Forever 1987
Wailing Souls - Who Fa Say A The Best Rockers Forever 1983

Thanks.

Can't help BMC but I've been looking for that Johnny Osbourne since I missed it in '83 - hope the pressings are OK!

Typical early 80s Osbourne dancehall stylee (like on his two Greensleeves LPs), Jackie? Or don't you remember?

BMC,

I had the first couple of minutes from it on an old tape from the Ranking Miss P BBC radio show and loved it. Great rhythm and lyric with Johnny sounding sweeter than ever. I can't wait to hear all of it now. I don't think you will be disappointed with it.

Maybe someone can here can give guidance on the other titles you have listed (I'd like to know who the producer was on them all).

Definitely agree with that Johnny O tune...very uplifting lyrics...I have it on 12" and the press is great, so hopefully the 7" will be the same. Whenever I play that tune though, I slow it down just a touch below 0 to make it sound better to my ears...Peace.
