Next Pressure Sounds Release 14 Feb 2005

A scorching 5 track 10 inch kicks off 2005 from Pressure Sounds. This new 10inch is a taster for the album “Down Santic Way” due out at the end of February. There are two tracks that will only be available on this 10" and not on the album.

The Freddie McKay cut of “I’m a Free Man” is as soulful as anything he ever recorded. The Pablo “Hap Ki Do” is a funky clavinet version of the A Side.

All tracks are Santic Productions from 1973-75 era. A lovely way get into the new year groove.

oh this is quite exciting news! i love that cheese grater sound of santic stuff. i wonder what else is available to compile? the above tunes (LOVE that freddy tune, much better than his self produced version, IMO), i assume a bevy of a pablo tunes. what else? any other big swingers have tunes that are as yet not compiled? horace? gregory? iroy? i guess jah woosh will again be present, as well. oh, and some nice tubby dubs, i'm sure.

Yes Talawa, the version on the canadian "Monica's"label is the same as on the Jamaican "Santic" , the American "Hot shot", and the Uk "Atra" llabels, only differ in length!
